Product details
Two calibres. One case. Your choice of halves.
The Forward Point Split Tray Insert divides one compatible Tactix case into two independent halves, so you can carry two calibres together. Choose Varmint, Hunter, Magnum or Rimmed Lever for each side. Total capacity is 96–160 rounds, depending on your pairing.
Includes two split tray halves: your selected Side A and Side B. Outer case not included. Both halves are dimensioned to fit the Tactix Tough Case (Small, Tan) from Bunnings, sold separately. Prefer everything in one box? See the Split Complete Case.

How to Choose Your Halves
Find each of your cartridges in the compatibility list below, then select its tray family in the Side A and Side B options. You are selecting a tray family, not an individual calibre. Each order includes both selected halves.
For example, for .223 Rem and .308 Win, choose Varmint for Side A and Hunter for Side B. This gives you 80 spaces on the Varmint side and 48 on the Hunter side: 128 rounds total.
You can choose the same family for both sides. For example, .243 Winchester and .308 Win are both listed under Hunter, so choose Hunter for Side A and Side B for 48 spaces per half, 96 total.
Capacity at a Glance
Each Varmint half holds 80 rounds. Each Hunter, Magnum or Rimmed Lever half holds 48 rounds. Two Varmint halves hold 160 rounds; one Varmint half paired with any other family holds 128; any two non-Varmint halves hold 96.

Full cartridge dimensions are in the Calibre Compatibility Guide. All dimensions in millimetres; bore diameter is the key fit dimension.
Built As One
The two halves butt together on a tight, square-cornered join, so in the case they read as a single tray — the seam is the same 1.6 mm as every other wall. All four families are built to a common 34 mm height, so any pairing sits flush across the top. Holes run straight through on an inline grid, and every round stands on the case floor.
Fit Notes
- Split halves are available in the Varmint, Hunter, Magnum and Rimmed Lever families. Dedicated Big Bore, Pistol, Rimfire and 12 Gauge tray families are not available as split halves. For those tray families, see the full Universal Tray Insert System.
- Very short cartridges such as the .22 Hornet, .218 Bee and .32-20 sit low in a 34 mm tray, with less brass exposed to grab.
- Rimmed Lever exclusions: do not select this half for .44 Magnum or .44 Special; these cartridges are too short for the stated inverted-retention fit. The rims of .45-70, .405 Win, .450 Marlin and .348 Win are too wide for this half. These exclusions are specific to the Rimmed Lever half; refer to the other family lists above for listed alternatives.
- Cartridge dimensions vary between manufacturers, and printing tolerance and ammunition variation mean a small margin is normal — verify yours before ordering.
